The most heavy duty, well-built fence mount you'll find
I'd bought a different fence attachment first, and that one had plastic parts and just wasn't able to hold the camera in place and the fence attachment piece cracked within a couple of uses, so I was looking for the most sturdy model I could find. This design fits the bill perfectly -- its all metal construction, very sturdy and not moving once in place. I didn't really understand how the fastener worked when I bought it, but it really is magic -- one twist tightens both arms, so you essentially line up the camera where you want it and it locks in place

Excellent fence mount
This review is for the "Proanko Fence Mount for Mevo Start, GoPro, Phones, Comes with Shade and Carrying Pouch Mounting Kit for Gamechanger to Recording Baseball,Softball and Tennis Games (N8 Pro)Proanko Fence Mount for Mevo Start, GoPro, Phones, Comes with Shade and Carrying Pouch Mounting Kit for Gamechanger to Recording Baseball,Softball and Tennis Games (N8 Pro) Sold by: H&P LTD".If you find yourself at a sports field, stuck behind a fence, with no option to get on the field to shoot video then this may be your solution. It mounts to standard "chain link" fence found at sports fields everywhere. Once mounted, just tighten down a single knurled knob, you can easily... and I do mean easily, position the gimbaled arm with just one knob. That single knob locks all adjustment points making it so much easier to position the camera with one hand while loosening or locking the entire rig with the other. The sun shade may or may not prove helpful to you. You're at the whim of a moving ball of intense light. What might be perfect shade at the start of a game may quickly disappear halfway through. And, since you likely will only have access to the back side of the fence, you're just shading the camera, it's not serving as a sunshade for the lens. But, it's included and you may find a use for it. You could add more rigid material to it to increase its shade footprint. The arm is well built and when locked more than rigid enough for a GoPro or other small sports camera. At $40 for the system it's still a reasonable value for the price. It's going to give you a unique way of getting footage of a game if you have no other option for camera placement or mounting. It's much better than trying to place a tripod against a fence. Way better than holding a selfie stick the duration of a game.

Great option for chain link fences
Used it a handful of times now. Definitely worth the money. Super easy to put up and take off and really sturdy. I would say it’s a much better design than some other options o have tried in the past.

Great for softball!
This fits very snuggly to the fence and has a sun guard to protect from the glare of the sun. I had no issue securing my phone to the device. It is built very well and functions as it should. Very pleased.

Must have GoPro (etc.) accessory
I got this for my GoPro but it works with my iPhone, and even my DSLR. The "magic arm" is that strong. So let's break this down if you don't mind. You get:*The magic arm. That is all you need. This is the star of the show hands-down. This has two stubby arms and two 360 (spherical) swivel joints, and the whole thing can be detached from the fence mount (but why would you except in special needs cases). It also has a 360 (one plane) clamp lockdown joint that is strong and grippy. ALL METAL: This is good stuff.*The fence mount is also metal and REALLY strong. It is "perma-secured" to the magic arm, but you can decouple these, which I like to be able to do in case I have special needs or want to use the fence mount with a longer arm. What makes the fence mount so cool is that it is a SCREW, not another crappy spring-based clamp. This is worth the price by itself. This is worth noting, as this is a sign of sincere craftsmanship and quality mounts to protect your expensive equipment.* A SECOND fence mount. This one is plastic? carbon? carbonate? (Is there a mini-Han Solo in this?) I am not sure, but it is not metal. That said, this is ALSO super strong and has a well machined screw clamp. This has a standard tripod mount screw (you can get a male/male adapter and make this a mount instead of something that is mounted — that is incredibly valuable as this extends the usability of this. While not as hefty as the main fence mount, this is strong enough to hold anything cheaper than a RED camera with peace of mind. This feels like a bonus as it is not really showcased in the product images. USE THIS. You will get a lot of value from this. Consider it a second fence mount, but not for your prime camera.* The shade. Plastic: hard plastic, but good hard plastic. Dissipates heat better than metal, but what you see if what you get. The mounting screws are long and hard. They work.* A cute little (branded) velveteen bag with a tiny carabiner. Great for LIGHT objects. Not much use otherwise. You might put an external power bank here but watch out for overheating ESPECIALLY in the sun. A really thin ice pack wrapped in foil or a paper towel can help. This is all super easy to use and 100% adjustable. Really well made! For thirty bucks you would be silly not to get this and have it for any number of use cases. Doesn't take up much room. I wish it came with a bag. The box is good — keep that. You will want to use that to store this.
