Works better than I had hoped!
We don’t usually buy bananas in the warmer weather because our kitchen fills with fruit flies. It’s annoying. What’s more annoying is that in the summer I crave Cheerios with ice cold milk and sliced bananas but I really can’t stand all of those fruit flies so I don’t get to eat cereal with bananas much. I’ve tried the little fruit fly traps with apple cider vinegar and it did lessen the number of fruit flies but they still seemed to be abundant. I wasn’t completely sold on the efficacy of this item but I figured I try it. Well, for the first time in years there are bananas in the fruit basket and no fruit flies swarming them this summer! They’re all stuck to the sticky pad! It’s even caught the flies that wander in when we open the screen door. There’s no smell or mess which is nice. With the apple cider vinegar, it smelled awful when one of us would inevitably knock it over. Plus I had to remember to refill it. With this I just change the sticky part out when there are a lot of bugs on it. I bought a whole pack of sticky things and I’ll probably buy another plug in for another part of the house.

Great fly trap
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I tried this item because it was on sale and after a lot of rain a bunch of flies and gnats had gotten into my apartment. After just 2 1/2 days, it had caught 6 large houseflies and a couple of gnats. My apartment is now free of flying pests. Worth every penny!! There is no odor, no nasty fly paper. Just a card that is sticky on one side that you slide into the small unit and plug into the wall socket. Very discreet. The one card works for 30 days and comes with a refill card. You have the option of buying just the cards too. I highly recommend it!

Protip: Cut off the top of the glue card for better results.
After one day of use during a fruit fly infestation, the trap was able to catch... two fruit flies. That is something, but it wasn't really enough considering what was there. While looking at the card, a fruit fly landed on it, but on the white edge... and then flew off a moment later. The problem is, the sticky glue doesn't extend all the way to the edges (presumably to make handling easier). So, cut off the non-sticky border at the top (and possibly the sides if you think you will remember not to touch it there) in order to decrease the "safe" spaces the insects can land on. This won't suddenly make every insect in the room jump onto the trap, but it does increase usefulness (just remember to remove the card at the bottom).

Worked for 2 years
This fly trap worked great. It lasted me almost 2 years before the lights in it died. So now my partner is buying another one to replace it. I bought it for the summer when we leave our patio open, and even during winter I was finding tiny flies on it. I never knew how often they were in our house. It's easy to install, you just plug it in and it turns on. Bright enough at night to light the floor of a small hallway. Deducting a star for the price of their refills.

Only thing that WORKS on fruit flies!
I love this product! I have battled fruit flies for years (old house, messy kids). I've tried vinegar traps and every other home remedy. I don't like the idea of humming bug zappers. This plug in device is perfect - low profile , no noise, no smell! It just looks like a night light. I have one tucked behind the coffee maker and another in the bathroom (to get drain flies). In the summer months, the sticky paper catches bugs so easily it finally kept the flu problem under control. I just replace the sticky paper and it works on and on. I recommend buying a pack of replacement sticky papers to go with it from the start. I replace mine every few weeks in the summer, longer in the winter. The quality seems high - I think I've had the one in my kitchen for a year or so.

Works Extremely Well With Controlling House Flies!!
I had a fruit fly and house fly problem in my kitchen and home recently. I went online to find some type of home remedy or something to help me with the issues I ordered the “starter” kit that comes with the plug in light and 2 sticky cards that you insert into the back of the device. I immediately plugged it into the outlet closest to my trash can in the kitchen. Within a few hours I had “trapped” multiple house flies. Within the first week the sticky card was completely full of flies and fruit flies. I call that a huge success! While it’s impossible to rid your home of every single house flu that makes it inside, this device is a huge improvement and a big help in controlling the # of flies that make it into my home and become a nuisance. Highly recommend!! 10/10!! I will be purchasing the replacement sticky cards very soon, as they recommend they are replaced every month. The cost is a little less than other similar ones on the market and it works very well!

If these aren’t working for you, you’re doing something wrong
These are by far the best flying bug catchers. I have bought more expensive ones that don’t work as well but they do work. This particular brand works the best. I have seen reviews where people say that they don’t work. There is no way possible that they do not work. I have such a clean house that people want to take their shoes off when they come in and these still catch gnats and flying bugs. If you put them in the top outlet, they do work better. I have one in my kitchen. I have one by where my dog food is I did not put them in the bathrooms I put them in the hallway to the bathroom because that seems to work better than to actually put them in the bathroom. Again, I’ve seen so many reviews saying that this product does not work and that is absolutely untrue because I am a clean person and they work so for people that aren’t as clean as I am then they should definitely work. This is by far the best brand and the best price to catch flying bugs, undoubtedly. It’s that time of year where you’re still going to see knats flying around in your house no matter what you do but eventually they get stuck on this trap. I would highly recommend it and I’ve been buying them for two years. They are definitely the best. I am the person that does not do reviews. I did this review because I don’t know why I see so many negative reviews on this product. The product works well.
