Sonos, easy setup and improved sound
It took me a long time to pull the trigger on this soundbar. I read review after review. Why did I want a sound bar....I have a Samsung Smart "Big Screen" TV but was always dissatisfied with the sound quality from the on board speakers, even when I tried the different settings. My wife did not want lots of speakers and "stuff" but was ok with a neat sound bar. I looked for something with reasonable reviews and not over the top expensive. After much work I eventually selected the Sonos over several alternatives. It arrived and I set it up using the instructions, worked straight from box, no issues at all, so 5* for that. Second, the immediate difference in sound quality was great improvement over the on board TV speakers, I switch from TV to soundbar several times to make sure I was just not being biased because I wanted the soundbar to be better, it was, so 5*. I then scrolled through my FIOS channel selector and selected big sound movies, sports with crowd background, studio debates, nature shows with animal sounds with narration, cartoons and studio news programs, they all sounded better on the Sonos so another 5*. Lastly the looks, it is sleek enough to be unobtrusive and sits on a shelf under the TV without really being noticeable at all so another 5*.Overall I am very pleased with the decision to purchase this soundbar. I can't vouch for how much better or worse it is than any other soundbar, but it was worth the money for how much better it is compared to the TV speakers

Great for smaller rooms and easy setup.
We downsized from a 6 speaker / Big amp to this and the base unit. We have a smaller room and it's perfect. The sound is crisp and it has reasonable base. We did go ahead and add the smaller base unit and for us it sounds great. Plays the TV and music off my phone. It was a easy setup and it basically a plug and play.

Bye bye, receiver
I bought a Cambridge Soundworks 5.1 speaker system and a JCV receiver at Best Buy in 1995. Although only the left, right, and center speakers are from the original set, I’ve kept the same basic set up using a Harmony Ultimate universal remote to access. But OLED burn in on my LG made it necessary to get a new set. I bought a Hisense 65” as my set. I decided on this Sonos unit because of the price and the reviews. I also already had Sonos speakers and a subwoofer in my bedroom. After some misunderstanding involved in all the new technology TVs use now, I now have Beam, Apple TV, and 4K disk player on my new system. I played a little Masters of the Air involving n air battle. Flak was exploding over my coffee table and planes were crashing near my kitchen. I was apprehensive about the simulated Atmos but it sounds great. I’m sure upward-facing speakers would be nice but the bombs were bursting in my living room air.

Truth and honesty that's what we hope to see in mankind
Customer should know that this product is misleading to the consumer when I received it on Saturday. My wife gave it to me on Sunday. I spent the whole evening putting it up in programming. It only need to find that it did not have any volume whatsoever when it came to streaming for my computer when you went to the TV the volume went up a little, but that is all I contacted the manufacturer through Amazon. The manufacturer told me that the profit margin on this product was great for Amazon and you need to go back to Amazon to get a return. Amazon told me to go back to the manufacturer so I sit here wondering why do I have to go back-and-forth why can't they honor the return policy? Meanwhile, the cost of this item has gone down but still being sold. Someday honesty will take place but for me it's not today. Think twice before you purchase they promise you all kinds of things but good luck on getting him to honor it my name is Randy. I have retired so I live on a fixed income, but the grid out there is overwhelming. Thank you.

Incredible, definitely worth it
Totally worth the money. I didn’t realize how little I could hear before I got the sound bar. I really can’t describe the difference.

Good System, Only Okay Small Sound Bar
This is the small (about 24 inches) Sonos sound bar for a television. The sound is okay. It works with other Sonos equipment including a wireless subwoofer and WiFi surround speakers that connect flawlessly. I like the whole system. Sonos advertises that some kind of Sonos technical magic allows this small sound bar to offer stereo separation equivalent to much larger units. Sadly, the laws of physics continue to apply.

Quality soundbar
This is my 3rd Beam Gen 2 soundbar each now connected to Samsung flat screen tv's. The sound especially if you have additional wireless Sonos speakers will give you a surround sound experience, but even if you have the one Beam Gen 2 for enhancement of volume on your tv, you will be pleased with the robust sound that will allow you to enjoy special effect sounds, music, movie, and tv programming. For the seniors, having a soundbar will give you back the ability to hear what is being said and if you are wearing headphones even better. In order to setup I called Samsung customer service who took the time to help me thru getting my Samsung tv to recognize the new Sonos Beam soundbar along with the tv remote. I had downloaded to my iPhone the Sonos app but for those who are new to Sonos you will need to download the app. The app is the bridge to hearing the sound from the Samsung tv coming thru the Beam Gen 2 soundbar. The Sonos is where the soundbar is registered, recognized, and completes the connection to hear the sound coming out of the soundbar. Just as a side note, the Sonos Beam Gen 2 does not come with a remote but does have a short length audio wire should it be needed, I did not have need of. I do recommend as a gift to yourself or for a person who would appreciate having a quality soundbar and for the person due to age or otherwise has need of enhanced volume and sound quality. If able to wait, purchase when on sale.
