The Eye of the I: From Which Nothing Is Hidden Paperback – 5 April 2016

I've been reading Dr.Hawkins' works for a while now, mostly studying his Letting Go, which has been one of the most profound and useful books I've ever read in my life. No other self-help or spiritual book that I found comes even close to the dephts of this man's work. Interestingly, his books find their ways to those who need them at the right time, without any marketing or advertising whatsoever. If you find yourself interested in purchasing this book then rest assured that you should go for it, since the fact alone that you somehow found out about its existence is proof enough of it appearing in your life at the right time.That's how it was for me, too. This book especially, appeared after a long period of working on myself, studying psychoanalysis and untangling the labyrinth of my own traumas and ego obsessions. Suddenly, it just sort of called to me.A word of caution: this is an extremely profound but intense book. Its content may very well upset some very specific paradigms in your life, some fundamental ideas about who or what you are, as well as your ideas about reality itself. You must be really really dedicated to taking some risks with your psyche and knowing that there may very well not be a going back to the accepted paradigms you grew up with.I would suggest you take it slowly and let many of its concepts sink in before proceeding further. I'd say it also invites the reader to a contemplative practice/meditation in their lives. This isn't simply a book you read and put away after, to just move on to the next one.Well, after I've hyped it up so much, I guess the question remains: have I noticed changes in my life after studying this work? Yes, absolutely. By combining this (as well as Letting Go, from the same author) with a spiritual practice in my life, I've noticed an increasing sense of calm and peace in myself. I feel completely different compared to even a few weeks/months ago and it feels as if the process is ongoing.Dr.Hawkins' works are the most non-bs straight guide to the idea of Enlightenment that I've ever found. It's a perfect blend of spirituality and scientific inquiry. Treat it with respect because it's very powerful, and take your time with it.

This book will make you question your very sense of self-identity, giving clarity on who you truly are and how to finally end your suffering permanently.

This is a beautiful and deeply spiritual book written by a spiritually advanced person. It deserves re-reading many times as the meaning becomes clearer the more I read it. Some of his other books, for example Power vs. Force and Truth versus Falsehood, are easier to read, but they all have the ability to change the way we see our life and existence. Highly recommended for the spiritual seeker.

Thoroughly loved this book. It took me a good few weeks to get through it but it was well worth the time spent. I will re read this book many times.

If you think that reading about spirituality means Wayne Dyer books then this may come as a shock to your system. Best to move on quickly and leave well alone. Dr Hawkins has a few more accessible works such as Healing and Recovery or Letting Go. Power vs Force is also excellent. This is definitely a book for the 'hard core' seeker who has read a few of the classic texts or certainly a few of Dr Hawkins' other books. In saying that, I still found it readable and fairly accessible. One to read again and again as I am sure it will give up many more nuances as time goes on and the reader changes.

A truly Genuine insight into the rocky road of enlightenment.

Quite simply the most eloquent and accurate description of the enlightened state in print. A masterpiece!

This is a great piece of art! I have no words to describe how amazing is this book! Reading it is a meditation on its own! Reading it & contemplating about the truth explained beautifully is transforming. Use this along with another book: "Steps to Knowledge The Book of Inner Knowing Marshall Vian Summers"..These two books will transform you to a higher consciousness.I bow down to a salute to both of these authors and the great works they provide to humanity.I am grateful I found them.🙏🙏🙏

No encuentro otro autor que haya llegado donde ha llegado él y sea capaz de expresar con tanto detalle lo inexplicable.No es para leer de un tirón. Al menos yo, tenía que parar cada pocas páginas e intentar absorber todos los conceptos del libro.Quien quiera distraerse un ratito, que se abstenga.

To some traditional religionists or spiritually fearful individuals, this book might be disturbing. However, if one might be open to radical truth and surrender of their belief systems, this book might become the seminal resource on a path to enlightenment. If one could handle ideas such as “[…] existence is not experienced within time at all. This moment is the only reality that is being experienced, all else is an abstraction and a mental construct” (Hawkins, 2001/2005/2016, p. 31) or that “the world is actually entertainment “ (p. 80) and “humorous amusement park” (p. 81) than this book will bring a lot of joy and even some confusion up until it is completely digested and understood outside of the ego’s perceptual system. Finally, this book luminously reveals the very essence of the spiritual process critical to achieving the advanced states of consciousness and the way to spiritual Enlightenment.
