Before I bought this, I had a normal external filter and it was fine but I wanted something to liven up the tank a bit, so I bought this filter system which enabled me to create bubbles / rain or water fall effect to get the water oxygenated and better for my fish. I must say that I am very impressed with this and I can see my fish swimming more often and the water seems cleaner too. I can recommend this filter system anytime as it is also at a reasonable price currently in most retailers.

I only took possession of this filter yesterday but i set it up in the kitchen on my own (lady with a very bad shoulder) and very easy to set up it is too, although the instructions are less than helpful i just used common sense and it only took a few minutes. I primed it over the sink, i just wanted to make sure it was working and how much noise it makes. Well it works and i have to say it is really quiet. You do need to fill it with water before priming it although the useless instructions don't tell you this, depress the button a couple of times to get the water through then switch it on at the mains and off you go, cannot wait to set my tank up now.UPDATE, i set my tank up yesterday completely ready to be cycled and although i washed the gravel (ive decided you cannot wash it enough!)when i filled the tank it looked like a slurry pond with vile stuff floating all over the top (i was worried) no matter i set the pump away and in less than an hour the water was crystal clear i only wish i had taken a pic to show you how bad it was and what a transformation. The pipes that fit over the tank are so easy to fit together and fit snuggly over the side, i'm really impressed.UPDATE, whilst doing a 50% water change and not knowing that all the intake pipe had to be submerged ( so you cannot as i tried rig a hose to the outlet pipe straight outside with the pump doing the work, although maybe if you tape up all the joins this may well be possible and would make water changes a doddle)it stopped pumping and wouldn't work when i switched it back on, so i switched it off and rang all ponds solution getting through immediately and was sent a check list via e-mail, also immediately, on further checking i realised it was not working at all so i rang back and asked to speak with someone who may actually know how they work as opposed to the receptionist! I got a man and explained the situation and also added that i was very close to finishing cycling my 100 gallon tank and at my wits end. Without any quibble at all he arranged for a replacement to be sent via courier the very next day and told me to just keep the other one for spares. I even got a time when it would be delivered, that to me is great after-sales service.

Cleared my very large fish tank in 1/2hr.Was surprised by how quiet it is. I would definitely recommend it to others. I would definitely buy from this vendor again.

this is my 3rd AllPonds filter, and as expected prior to ordering its a cheap canister that dose the job and dose it well.a few things to note. i ordered the 1000EF. a simple no thrills filter.... i would recommend getting some new pipes, this model comes with cheap plastic ones, that on mine had a split in the plastic uplift, not an issue i just cut the bottom 3inches off where the split was and problem solved.. this system dose NOT come with the skimmer on the inlet as shown in the videos and pic. skimmers are not essessintal but they really are useful if you have one, keeps the surface cristal clear, in my case as an ex smoker, i understand that things in the air settle on the tank and it helps alotnext thing to note is, and it might just be on this unit as none of my others have this issue, the plastic is really thin and not very sterdy, will it work, time will tell, but its holding its shape and water and thats what matters.next i would like to point out is that all external filters make some noise, it happens, this one, at the moment, is rather quite but i did half to take the impella out and give it a good wash b4 use as there seamed to be some form of fine dust or grit in it, prob off the media which brings me to my last point... the included media, excliding the bio balls, is useful as only bin filler, the included fiber filter is inconsistent in thickness and weve and the cramic rings were disintragrating before i even opened the plactic bag they came in.this is a budget filter that will need more money than just the unit spending on it, if you already have media knocking about and a set of pipes then wonderful, put it on some styrophone or a rubber mat to help the noise, clean it out and you wont go wrong, but if you dont have other bits about, replacements sponge/weve/mats/rings are cheap, be prepaired to spend 20/30 quid on new pipes and media though.i shall update in a few weeks once its had time to run in and work its self outUPDATE: allpondsolutions sent me replacement pipework, that arived today and is now installed on the tank. The photo is moments after a big 50% wc and is already cristal clear. Great customer service and a wonderful experience as always

I was concerned about getting this as I've never used an external filter before and was unsure how easy it would be to install but I'm so glad I did. Easy to install. Quiet. And my water is always crystal clear. With the correct internal filter my water was still looking cloudy a couple of days after water changes. Love this!!

Arrived quickly and well packaged, took 10 mins to setup very easy guide and video. Easy to prime and worked first try! Would definitely reccomend.

Cette pompe (100l/h) est idéale pour des petits bacs jusqu'à 100 litres.Peu voire pas de bruit, je dors à quelques mètres et je n'entends pas la pompe.Mais pour faire le grognon, 2 points ont retenu mon attention.La longueur des pipes est super longue. Il faut donc procéder à la coupe.Surtout la crépine a des trous d'aspiration très gros. Si vous faites de la crevette ou du petit poisson pensez à mettre un collant ou un tissu fin autour.

Filtre externe acheté pour un aquarium ouvert d'une capacité de 100 litres, fonctionne correctement, le débit est suffisant pour bien brasser cette quantité d'eau, attention à bien remplir jusqu'aux supports des tuyaux fixés sur l'aquarium pour pouvoir facilement amorcer la pompe, également attention le "out" écrit sur la pompe correspond à la sortie d'eau de l'aquarium et le "in" à l'arrivée d'eau dans l'aquarium, pour finir le bruit est très raisonnable et ne ce remarque vraiment que la nuit.

Notre pompe était HS et après avoir lu les commentaires, nous avons choisit celle-ci. Elle fonctionne très bien, ne fait pas de bruit. Achat 100% satisfaisant !!
