Great PTSN to Voip
GreatI have had the Obi110 for about 16 mouths, not bad at all, the voice codex was a little unclear, the setup was easy with online help, and echo cancellation was OK. Then lighting came and bang obi110 no more.Anyway I moved on to the Cisco spa3102 don’t even thing about using the device its bad bad bad,Looked around on the internet seen the Grandstream HandyTone 503 and looked deeper into it, found some great review, I dived right in. Not the easiest to setup but out of the box voice codex was clear, a little quite to start with but upped the gain all fixed, Caller ID works ever time,Echo cancellation on the Grandstreams handyTone 503 is great, no problems, I’m really impressed with Grandstreams handyTone 503.My setup is..Grandstream HandyTone 503 PTSN to voip,Freepbx,Cisco 7940 sip,

Capable but requires patience to get configuration spot on
A very capable little box, but with that comes overwhelming configuration pages for the domestic user. That said, if your VoIP provider has configuration settings for their service available in their help or forum pages you should easily find the basic settings to get the thing working. The manufacturer also has an active community offering help and support and also responds quickly to help tickets.I had to reconfigure the box to download an earlier version of firmware to get a fairly basic feature working - if this sounds scary, it's not the box for you.

Great Device, Not so great UI
Complicated interface, not much documentation, but works great for what it does. Purchased to connect an existing landline into an IP phone system and this works well but requires some advanced knowledge.

Buggy badly documented mess
Exceptionally poor design. Not only is the HT503 slow, unreliable and unresponsive, configuring it is nigh-on impossible. The manual does nothing to explain the hundreds of cryptic settings, and often there's no standard equivalent in e.g. Cisco or Asterisk so you can't just port the concepts over; there's no guidance for their own custom formats on how to configure for a UK BT system & clearly the device is unpopular enough that nobody on the wider Internet has written up any easily located findings or guides that cover every single setting. The syslog entries are all at debug level, so you have no choice but to be deluged with thousands of lines of logs trying to identify what isn't working. Calling in on the FXO port works one moment, fails the next, often without even logs of what went wrong. It's such a shame that the Linksys (now Cisco) SPA 3102 was discontinued. That was, by comparison, a joy to work with, and that's saying a lot because the SPA is renowned for being fiddly to set up.

Works with 3CX
Took some fiddling about with, but got it working for incoming and outgoing calls on our 3CX PBX system. seems to have a bit of lag on the calls however, and manual was not great.

You'd better be a VOIP guru...
Well, good luck to you if you can figure out how to set this thing up. It comes with essentially no instructions. Everything out there on the internet is utterly baffling, even for a technically-minded person like myself (though not in the field of VOIP communications, I admint). Honestly, someone needs to figure out how to make a box that is easy to use.
