Excellent quality item
I purchased this mainly for an alternative task to that which it is intended, but it's surpassed my expectations. My backdoor frame is/was full of ants nest from a poor mastic seal I guess and after trying other methods to shift them, with some success, I decided to try this by breaking the seal on the door frame to allow them to depart en masse, or for me to get the flame inside to coax them out. I've also used this for lighting a fire pit too and it's so much easier than using matches. The handle - that doubles as a gas tank and the tube the flame comes from are both metal and are very sturdy. The main body seems to be plastic and i'm not sure about the trigger, but this has been filled multiple times now and fired maybe thousands of times and it still working as well as when it arrived. I'm not sure how long the flint or spark mechanism lasts for but it's certainly a long time if my experience is anything to go off.For killing ants and the queens leaving the nests, this has proven to be a game changer for me. It literally either pops them off the frame/wall, or with trigger held, just gets so many all at once and easily that it makes killing hundreds at a time very easy.I had some gas cartridges left over from camping trips and they all have a short nozzle and this is really designed for longer nozzles, it does provide to nozzle extensions which allow me to fill the handle tank with ease. The flame is virtually invisible outside, but indoors looks to be around 6" or 150mm long on high setting. There is a slight delay cutting off the gas after depressing the trigger, but it's not an issue for me. The fuel tank lasts quite a long time between filling and the plastic safety caps provided are a nice touch for storing. The fuel gauge seems to be useless as the gas is invisible, so I can't see how full the tank is, but as mentioned, the gas in the tank lasts for ages anyway.I don't know hos this would compare with another model, but I would happily buy one of these again if it breaks or gets lost.

A great little piece of kit.
This little gadget is a really handy tool to have in the kitchen. I have used it to crisp up skin on baked salmon, it turns pork rind into great crackling, it toasts marshmallows, gives a nice burnt look to peppers on chicken and paneer kebabs, it’s a great multitasker. It can be used to ignite coals or kindling in your barbecue. It’s a fun thing to add to your kitchen cupboards. It comes with two adapter nozzles to use with gas refill cans. Simple to use and fun. Great little piece of kit for not a lot of money.

Versatile, Easy-to-Use, and Surprisingly Sophisticated
I’ve been using the Sondiko S907 for a few weeks now—mostly for creme brulee, finishing sous‑vide dishes, and even some light soldering around the house. It’s quickly become my go-to torch for both kitchen and DIY tasks.• Fuel Gauge & One-Handed Operation: The built-in, transparent fuel gauge lets you see exactly how much butane is left—no surprises mid-torch. Combined with the thumb‑operated flame regulator and lock, it’s easy to use with one hand• Flame Power & Adjustability: Despite compact size, the flame is sharp and controllable, reaching internal temps claimed to be up to 1,371 °C (2,500 °F). That said, it’s not as intense as pro units—it took me around 30–35 seconds to caramelize sugar on brulee, slightly slower than top-tier torches• Build & Safety: The all-metal body feels solid, and the safety lock adds peace of mind. A piezo ignition fires reliably every time.• Refill & Compatibility: Fits all small butane canisters (long or short nozzles included), which makes refilling super hassle-free• Versatility: I’ve used it for crispy cheese toppings, searing meat edges, and even minor soldering jobs with ease.Minor Drawback: Flame isn’t ultra-powerful—so if you need serious heat (like browning meats or industrial tasks), something like the Iwatani Pro2 is a better choice. But for everyday culinary and DIY use, it’s more than sufficient.

Avoid at all costs
I bought this last year but haven’t found time to use it. I decided today I would open it up to finish my crème brûlée. Not only would the gas not fill correctly, I didn’t realise it had leaked onto my hands and I was engulfed in a fireball! I’ve burned my hands, my eyelashes on one side, and my hair. This is completely unacceptable for this to be sold on here, when it’s a faulty device! Many reviews say the same thing. I wish I’d have checked that before buying. I’m lucky it wasn’t worse.Terrible product. Faulty. Dangerous. Avoid!

Works well once filled with gas...
Excellent for it's chef cooking purpose. It was wasteful to fill with gas as others have said but it may be due to non standard filling nozzles as I noted the gas can and the filling side on the product were slightly different sizes. I lost the cap for the gas refill can ( chewing puppy) so did not have different sized nozzles, however once filled worked perfectly....flame "grilled" burgers (cooked on hob and then seared) with toasted buns done with the torch, so was a hit. I like it.
