Perfect, just perfect
Deftly written account of the former FordMoCo’s exploits in the UK in the 1960s and 1970s. The genesis of each model and its eventual fate is described in great detail, but also with humour, affection and occasionally pathos. It’s a rollercoaster of a read, which leaves you longing for those halcyon days in which FordMoCo built cars in the UK.

Good overview of Fords at the Time
An excellent book if you want a thorough but succinct overview of 60's and 70's Fords in the UK. Very well laid out, with a consistent format throughout. Good details of mainstream UK models, with descriptions, backgrounds to the models, lots of pictures (including some period adverts reproduced), sales figures, performance statistics and so on. The book touches briefly on overseas sales and production of UK cars, and dabbles with specialised sporting versions e.g RS models, but without much detail.Equally enjoyable for a detailed read or as a "coffee table" book. If you are looking for real in depth detail about a particular model (e.g. Escort) you might well be better off buying something dedicated to that model alone. That's not a criticism, just advice!Being rather a nerd on the subject matter, there are a very few minor errors. Nothing substantial, but enough to annoy the geeks; for example the author seems unaware of the "Deluxe" versions of the Zephyr Mk4s, assuming that the chrome grille is just a production update, and asserts that the MK1 Escort "Sport" replaced the GT, whilst I believe it was an additional model and they were produced concurrently. But I guess well balanced individuals who have "got a life" won't worry about such trivia!!All in all, a good book to read and to keep.
