my son broke the original part so it was replaced with this one and it works fine. No complaints and I didn't have to give an arm and a leg for it

The part fit nicely with the old tank.I eventually ended up replacing the tank as well cause it got cracking after a few more uses. But this part is still going strong.

As the title states it fits model 1383 like new. Only a small piece on the corner of ours broke off but it wouldn't pick up water after that.I'd also like to add that my wife and I rented a Bissell 'Big Green' while our cleaner was out of service and they are very good machines, way better compared to these types of residential cleaners. If/when ours gives out I'd spend the $400 for a green machine they are totally worth it. Far more durable, suction both ways, easier to clean.

I dropped the tank down the cellar stairs and only the top of it broke. My first thought was, unprintable. But my second thought was I would have to buy a whole new machine. Then my third thought was the same as the first.Amazon to the rescue. I found Just the Top. The order page details gave me confidence that I was buying the correct part. Amazingly it came in days and it fits.I plan to use it as soon as child barfs on the rug. It's winter, so next Monday morning just as the bus comes is a high possibility.

Perfect drop in replacement. The first one arrived cracked into two pieces and I had to return it; otherwise it would get 5 stars. Not a knock on the product at all, but just something to prepare for given the shape of the piece that there is a good chance that you'll have to go through the process of returning a broken one from shipping. As always amazon makes it easy to return and sending a replacement.
