You're gonna open it. You're gonna say, "Man, this thing is way smaller than it looked in the picture!" But then you turn it on, pair it, and realize, "Whoa. This thing's the real deal." Other than a very minor complaint, I have literally nothing that would rate this speaker anything less than 5 stars.Pro: Value. You're not going to get a Bluetooth Speaker of this quality for this price. I promise you. In the last year, I have paid (significantly) more for speakers with lower quality sound, worse battery (or only AC/no battery), and definitely not water resistant. For this price range, this is the best sound quality I've heard, and having something shock and water resistant in this price range is almost unheard of, unless you're buying a cheap Chinese knockoff. ShackJoy is designed and shipped to you from the USA. This is a potential impulse buy you won't end up regretting.Pro: Water Resistance. This speaker is rated as water resistant as opposed to waterproof, so I do NOT recommend purposely submerging this in water. But I took my chances and I did just that. It was fully submerged for maybe 30 seconds when I took it out of the water. The sound just kept playing like nothing ever happened to it, and the kickin' bass just shook the water all over the place. (Again, please be advised that if you try this, it's at your risk as I can't guarantee the waterproofing level of each individual speaker). Place this in your shower with confidence. Bear in mind, the speaker is not water resistant while using auxiliary or charging with the USB which is normal.Pro: Shock resistant. It's dense and built like a tank. I haven't put its shock resistance to the test, but I can't imagine this thing can't fall out of my third story window and sustain permanent damage. It's going to take serious force to break the speaker.Pro: Sound quality. I already touched on how this is the best value for sound quality. Is there higher quality out there? Yes. Is there richer bass out there? Yes. You will, however, inevitably sacrifice cost and the convenience of this speaker's small size. Don't be fooled by it's size. For it's size, it has an amazing, rich quality. The bass doesn't distort or garble easily, and it still sounds great in an echoey environment like the shower (which is where mine is currently hanging).Pro: Features. For a speaker with only 4 buttons (Power, [-], Play/Pause, [+]), it has quite the functionality. The +/- buttons allow you to adjust the volume, skip/replay tracks, and enter pair mode. Pressing play/pause allows you to accept/reject/hang up phone calls. Built in microphone, too. Sweet! Bluetooth 4.1 support allows for rapid pairing/recognition of your active Bluetooth devices.Pro: Battery. It came out of the box with a 100% charge. It's been a week of using it every day, and it hasn't begged me to charge the battery. Still going strong. I'm basing this off of the iPhone's ability to meter a bluetooth device's battery life, and my iPhone shows it's still pretty full battery.Con: The physical buttons. This is a very minor complaint, and I'm only writing this to set expectations. Turning on the speaker takes an abnormally long hold of the power button. Actually, anything where you have to "long press" a button (refusing a call, skipping tracks) requires a really long hold of the button. Because the speaker is built so solid, these buttons aren't the easiest to push. I do have arthritis in my fingers and hands, so results may vary. It's really not enough to make me hate the speaker, but it's a design that could be improved in future models.What I'd like to see in future models:1. Integration of a device's native voice commands. I use Apple Music, and Apple Music and Siri are BFFs in the iOS world. I know with Windows 10 and Android devices, Cortana and Google Now respectively can be used to control your music.2. While I am definitely a fan of the simplified button layout, for some people, it can be just a little too simple. I'd like to see separate buttons for skipping tracks as the whole pressing and holding thing can get a little tiring especially if you're skipping multiple tracks or trying to find the right song in a big shuffle.3. Colour options. As this is a great gift idea, and potentially a gift to buy for multiple people at once, personalizing the colours would be a big plus.If I know friends or family are looking for a product like this, this will be the first I recommend. Come holiday season, it makes a solid stocking stuffer. An uncompromised 5 stars! Thanks, ShackJoy!

Originally I rated this as 4 stars. But after original charge it will no longer charge. So now I have a speaker that doesn't work and because it's past 30 days I'm stuck with it.Update: 12 /4 - I received an email from the seller wanting to replace speaker at no charge, I did not have to pay shipping or even return defective speaker. I was told speaker would arrive on 12/5 but it arrived on 12/4!! Thank you so much! Changed review from 1 star to 5.

Primarily use it in the shower and so far, it has served us well. Had no problem pairing it to a tablet. Unfortunately, I haven't been keeping track of the usage so I don't know how minutes of play a single charge will have.Pros- Can go several weeks between charges; undetermined minutes of play though- More than loud enough for our purpose- Waterproof so it holds up well in the shower- Pretty hefty and durable. Dropped a few times on hardwood floor and shows no (visual or audible) signs of damage.- Included suction mount allows you hang the speaker pretty much anywhere in the showerCons- Suction mount isn't as durable as the speaker. After dropping the speaker the wrong way, the suction mount doesn't hold the speaker reliably anymore.Regarding that last point, I reached out to the seller (Strongway) regarding the damaged suction mount and getting a replacement. They offered both to replace and ship the suction mount for free. Woohoo! Therefore, this rating applies both to the product and the customer service provided by the seller.

For the price, my purpose, and sound quality...I like it. Stayed connected to my phone to over 70 ft when speaker was stationary. Less reliable when moving speaker while phone was stationary, but more than adequate. Hope it lasts. Can't comment on battery life yet, nor water shedding ability. Tiny guy packs a punch.

Beautiful and modern design, nice big display, very bright even on dimmest setting, but personally I don’t mind, very simplistic and easy to use.Large numbers, easy to read from across the room.We dont use it for anything but a clock so I dont know about and of the alarm features but I'm happy with the purchase

These cables have a few features that I find useful. The terminator (the 3.5mm plug) is the proper size to fit in the case access hole for cell phones. Case access hole sounds funny, but I think you get what I am talking about there. Phone cases have an opening so you can access the headphone output/port. The old style plugs are too big and need to be shaved down with a knife in order to fit into the headphone output of a cell phone with a case. Not these cables! Fits right in!They also work fit my Monoprice headphones with detachable cable. I expect that they would fit most headphones with a non-propriety detachable cable too.Another feature that I like is the type of jacket on the wire. The jacket is the insulation that covers the wire to protect it from oxidation and provides a strain relief. The jacketing used here is some sort of low friction material that results in a cable that resists tangling. When you pick it up it sort of untangles itself (if you didn't coil it like a complete ape) because the cable won't stick to itself. It has a nice clean feeling in the hand too.The two 3-foot and one 6-foot cables in this pack are a good variety that will work in most situations.
