Bought for my 11 year old who is loaded with cold and has a bit of a cough.Bought to give him a bit relief but on giving him the medicine he complained of the taste and said it had a bit of a liquorice taste.He gagged on the second spoonful and advised that he really didn't like the taste at all, he will only accept 1 spoonful at a push now.It's not the cheapest, I'll probably just stick to bog standard honey and glycerine medicine in the future which he can stomach.

BENLYIN is the only cough mixture brand that seems to work for me. There are many different types in this range, but its my go to when i have a cough.The syrup is orange, and tastes..... nice ! just as it should.i recommend not only this one, but the brand in general ...thier nightime one works too !!

Dry coughs are a real nuisance and complicated to get rid of. I suffered from an infrequent but prominent dry cough for a few weeks and quickly purchased this, hoping this would be the solution. I was disappointed. Despite taking this twice a day, I only ever felt temporary soothing to my throat before the coughs would restart in the afternoon and morning.This went on for another week or so while I took this, clearly not treating my dry cough. In the end, the solution to fully clearing my dry cough was to drink tea mixed with honey and lemon. This natural solution proved to be better than spending the odd quid on this cough syrup. Perhaps, the syrup works for some people and not others.
