Grew up in france. Those are the real deal.
I am from France, living in the US, and its very hard to find proper provence herbs. Most of them include lavender and other exotic herbs which are not in provence herbs. They don't necessarily taste bad, just not like provence herbs, and so can't be used the same way. Those herbs have the right ingredients, and taste great. Love it.

Probably what most Americans are looking for in Herbs de Provence
I think the flavor is what most Americans will be looking for in Herbs de Provence. A decent amount and seemed pretty fresh. Only nit is that they aren't chopped too fine. Just about perfect for sprinkling on top of a turkey or some roast, but maybe a bit coarse for putting in dishes, but this is a pretty minor complaint. I expect to order again when run out.

Good quality ingredients for a great price!
This was a very large bag with good quality ingredients for a very good price and arrived in two days. To give some perspective, the bag is the size of my hand (see photo). I also really appreciated the fact there was no lavender in this mix. Not because, like other reviewers said, lavender is not part of the "traditional" French mix of herbs, though that is true. I just am not particularly fond of lavender and wasn't able to find a Herbes de Provence mix in any store without it.Though you can make this mix on your own, these ingredients are about $4.00 on average for about 0.5 oz containers for each of these herbs individually. That makes this very large bag about half the price and more if you include other potential ingredients like lavender, oregano, and fennel seed I have seen on various recipe sites.I just used this mix in a salad dressing recipe and it was a perfect addition. If you are interested,Mustard Salad Dressing Recipe: 2 tbs balsamic vinegar, 1 tbs extra virgin olive oil, 1 tsp Dijon mustard, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, and a few pinches of Herbes de Provence.

Four and a half stars. This Thanksgiving was the best turkey I have ever done and this is partially responsible. Added a great flavor. I soaked the turkey overnight in a salt brine mixed with three thin sliced lemons , and about half a handful of this. Next day, I pulled the turkey, let it drip dry, placed in pan, stuffed, patted dry with a paper towel. Then I did a light coat of olive oil, then lightly sprinkled this on it. Baked at 325 for the prescribed time, but took lid off roaster about an hour and a half before ready to get brown crispy coating. Amazing!!!

Finally an herb de Provence WITHOUT lavender!!! ...
Finally an herb de Provence WITHOUT lavender!!!! What makes other companies put lavender into their herbs de Provence mix I will never understand. Thank you for having a product that I have been looking high and low for! I finally can make killer steaks without that lavender taste.

Fragrant and Delicious
We were hesitant to buy a big bag of herbs but the price was good so we decided to try it rather than one of the small jars we usually buy. We are so glad we did. We saved our jars from previous purchases and filled 2 of the jars with these herbs. They smell just like the ones we used to use and taste the same too. We are very pleased with our purchase.

Good Buy
I livie in the middle of nowhere Arkansas and making up a spice package like this would mean driving three or four hours to acquire what was needed so that it was all fresh spices being used. I'm 70 and not that much of a foodie anymore. This ain't Chicago.
