the product was cheap plastic and didnt do what i was expecting it to do.

It's a lot of work to get carrots julienned.

I really hate to.write this but after being asked to review it at a large discount I have to be honest.The seller has asked I do NOT leave poor feedback as he only wants nice and fair reviews. But discount or not I simply can not lie.The product is cheaply made. The outer stainless steel handles are dangerously Sharpe. Perhaps more so than the Japanese blade used to cut the vegetables. There are no instructions on how to operate it safely. I had to Google those.With my good conscience I simply can not recommend buying this unless you wish to make frequent visits to the ER. It's concept has some good ideas but sadly it falls short of a practical kitchen device.

I have a friend that has been talking about eating raw spiral zucchini for months. I hadn't tried it yet and wasn't sure it was for me but the benefits of raw veggies are great so I thought I would finally give this a try. Wow, it's good. I'm not kidding it doesn't taste like you are eating raw veggies at least the way I prepared mine, I am really hooked now.The spiral tool itself is easy to use. I tried it with both sweet potatoes and zucchini. Of course the sweet potato was a little more difficult than the zucchini, but it did work for both. I bought a product that was supposed to do this years ago it was a crank system that you feed the veggies into. It was made of plastic and had to be clamped to the counter-I hated it, it cost over $30 and I never used it because it was awkward and felt like it was going to break when I tested it out after it first came.The only recipe I have used so far is awesome:spiral zucchini, tomatoes, fresh basil, mozzarella, balsamic vinegarette, olive oil. It's delicious!I am excited to look up more recipes now that I know I like it! My kids will enjoy spiral potatoes that we can cook in the oven with this, I'm sure.It is easy to clean and comes with a little tool to help so you don't cut yourself. I am a fan of this product and think it will help me with healthier food choices. My kids can even easily/safely make the zucchini spaghetti.I was able to get this product free for my honest and unbiased review of the product.

This product is what you see is what you get. It was made with cheap materials but will still produce results with slicing your vegetables. I liked how they included the spiral brush for cleaning those hard to reach places. It can be so difficult to clean around such a sharp blade. One thing for me is that this product requires a little strength to achieve the desired results that I just don't have! So maybe next time, I will purchase a spiralizer that is a little more user friendly. Overall, it was a good explanation and reasonable description of the device I received. I was not dissatisfied with this product. It just wasn't the right fit for me.I received this item at a discounted rate in exchange for an honest and unbiased review and I honestly was satisfied with this product! Enjoy!

Edit: May 22nd, 2016I cannot in good conscience recommend this product to anyone and highly recommend the manufacturer to pull this product until it is fixed. I spiralized one zucchini today holding onto the stainless steel 'handles' vs the top portion to get a better grip as the zucchini kept sliding around. The picture included is what my thumb looks like after ONE zucchini, as you can see its cut in several places...BEWARE!!!I had high hopes for this product as I am trying to get back on the healthy eating wagon and needed to cut simple carbs like pasta. We love vegetables around here and hoped this product would be an easy way to make sweet potato & zucchini noodles. The spiral slicer is fairly lightweight, it shifts easily when using and the small grips are not enough to keep it in place. The exterior stainless steel handles are uncomfortably sharp on the edges to grip. The blades to slice spiralize the vegetables are nice and sharp and the tool cleans up easily with the included brush. This product does what it claims, spiralizes vegetables, due to the handles and light weight though I will continue searching for a higher quality product. Smaller then I had thought. But it will work with small vegetables like carrots, small cucumbers, squash or zucchini. Since it is smaller you need to be very careful. It does not come with instructions but it's pretty easy to figure out. Be very careful when using but it will work. I did receive this product as a promotion in return for my honest and unbiased review.
