I ordered this starter and it was shipped really fast, on the outside of the starter it looked nice and good quality. As I was putting the starter in the back slipped off a little so I had to reset the brushes back on to the armature and that's when I seen the armature was used before and not new. My first thought is they take used armatures and they soak them in some type of acid and then throw them on a lathe to level off the brush mating surfaces, etc. I also understand they probably tested the started and that's a good thing but the part of armature that the brushes ride on was a little concaved and had bad groves already in it. If a test does this much damage then this starter won't last long at all, maybe a couple more months. Because I needed it that day I didn't even bother to complain or send it back. I wrote this review to let others to check their starter out before putting it in. The rest of the starter looked new so this blows my mind. If the armature was new this starter would get 5 stars from me all day long.

This starter for my 8N was received in good packaging. The starter appeared new and worked just as well.

Starter stuck in the engaged position and will not return. Even when pulled out of tractor. Contacted Amazon and they would not return because it was just over a month sense purchased, when I contacted Parts World USA the promised to send me new one at there cost and don't worry about returning the old one.

Took 2 days after the guarantee date works but drags when turning not happy about it but not worth the hassle and long wait to get another one.

HAS MORE TURN OVER SEED THAN OLD STARTER
