Perfect for Grandkids (and Me Too!)
We have three young grandchildren, but not many toys for them to play with during their visits. While searching for new toys, Lincoln Logs came up in my search results, and I was instantly reminded of how much fun I had playing with them as a child. I decided to order this set, and it was the perfect choice! The grandkids absolutely loved playing with them, and to be honest, I had a blast too! The included tin is great for storing the logs when they’re not around. If you’re looking for a classic toy that will keep everyone entertained, do yourself and your kids or grandkids a favor and get these. They’ll love them!

MY CHILDHOOD!
As a kid, I enjoyed these, yet we were always missing pieces. When I was working on childcare, I'd play with the kids with these, except they were off brand. I could tell. I know without a doubt, this'll be great value for money. Easy to build with, fun for pretty much kids and adults! The color is much more beautiful than I remember. The ones we had as kids, did have those little plastic roofs, doors and windows. though. These don't, but I don't care! WELCOME BACK MY CHILDHOOD!

Excellent Quality Kit - Brings Back Memories
My sister and I each had a basic Lincoln Log Cabin kit in the 60's when we were kids, and I always remember playing with them and enjoying it. Unfortunately my Mom gave away our original sets when we outgrew them so we don't have those anymore. For some reason this Christmas I was thinking about those old Lincoln Log sets. Being a care taker for my 82 year old Mom now, I was also looking for some good ideas for toys that will help her with organization and following directions etc., and it suddenly occurred to me that Lincoln Logs provide many of the skills she needs practice with, and they're fun too! So after doing a little research I decided to get this Collectors Edition Village set for her this Christmas. When the box arrived I had her open it and her eyes lit up with recognition and excitement. We opened the bags of pieces and parts together and carefully counted all of them to make sure we got all 327 parts, and sure enough we did, including 5 extra small pieces. On the first evening, working together with her, she built 2 buildings and was totally engaged in reading through the all illustrated instructions, gathering the necessary pieces to build the building, and actually assembling it. It really worked her organizational, mechanical, spacial recognition, order of operations skills and so much more. In three nights we had built the entire village! I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, me or her! Such a trip down memory lane for both of us! Every few days I'll tear down a few buildings and she rebuilds them again, and each time I can see improvement in the skills and organization required to complete a model.I think the quality of the pieces is great. I actually have one small log from my original set and I compared it to the pieces in this set. The old ones are lighter and stained darker and are probably made of pine. The pieces in the new set are solid maple, stained a lighter color and a slightly bigger than the old piece.Don't be discouraged by other reviews on here that complain the pieces fit together loosely or that there aren't enough long pieces to really build anything etc. If you follow the included diagrams you will have enough pieces to build the entire village simultaneously as shown in my picture. Yes the pieces fit loosely but they are meant to. Once you put the cross braces in the become much more stable and can easily be moved around by pushing on the base once completely built. And best of all Lincoln Logs are made in the good old U.S.A.I love this set and it will be used for years to come. In fact I just ordered a second set so we'll have more pieces to get creative with and design our own structures.

Classic quality item.
Well-made classic item. A little on the pricey side but should hold up to years of use. My grandsons loved it. (Three brothers ages three, ten and thirteen all spent time using it on Christmas day) The older grandson asked for them and all three grandsons ended up playing with them. Nice gift.

I love lincoln logs i have mine still from when I was growing uo
I leave mine from when I was growing up, they are not made the same way at all. These have ridges on them the original ones don't. Also these don't stay together like the older ones. And some are warped/bent. Not enough wood slats to complete a roof leaving a big gap at either top or bottom of roof. I will order an off brand next time as I am now lincoln logs shy. When my grandkids built with them the logs would not stay together, frustration set in we sent them back. the notched ends are to big and make the structures wobbly and in this fall. I would not recommend. Gave it 3 stars for good lod days fun

Fun for the entire family
My 4 year old grandson loves this product. There are plenty of blocks for building and instructions for several different structures. Though some of the parts are a little different than what I grew up with, my grandson really enjoys it. I also thing my husband does too - LOL.

Just like we played with as kids
Really nicely made set with a great and durable storage tin. Fast shipping. This is EXACTLY like what we played with as kids and my boys spend HOURS being Lincoln log engineers building all sorts of imaginative structures. Splinter free, well milled, fit together great. Colors are matched.NOTE: most of the piece count is the little one blocks, and there is only 1 chimney and a shortage of the longer boards for more complex buildings. If you have several kids you WILL referee a fight over the chimney.I bought a second set just to defuse the ‘learn to share’ useless parental lecture to a 5 year old. Heck, I am 50 and I don’t share…..
