Solid build at a great price!
This was a satisfying build that I spread out over a couple weeks. Some will probably finish it in a weekend of dedicated work. It's comparable to a high grade Gundam and like those it will take some extra finishing if you want it to really shine.I wasn't fond of how the package and instruction manual photos all show it painted. The armor is flat colors and you'll need a silver marker or paint to make it look worn. The biggest complaint I had was that part of the waist is shown with color separation between the belt and cloth areas that isn't present in the model. You won't notice if you're not paying attention but as the one building it, it stood out to me.Don't let those minor grips stop you from enjoying this. It's a fun build at a great price!

Great gift
Great bonding gift for father and son who are huge Star Wars fans. My husband and son had fun building this together.

Nice with extra effort
With a matte enamel coat and a silver Sharpie, he looks like the pictures above, which I am very satisfied with.He comes with both stickers and waterslide decals, so you can pick your poison, and he has a (kinda bad) base that clips to one of his feet. He's not very posable, has many fragile attachments, and if you want complete color accuracy, you have your work cut out for you. Every bit of silver or red that you see, I added. (Reds were brown straight out of the box.) I also had to make his rifle's stock brown myself.Very nice as a statue if you're into detailing, not so nice as a toy.

Looking for some geeky weekend zen?
I’m only halfway through the build, but this kit is so much fun to paint. The sculpt is very detailed and the structure and articulation are fantastic. There are sticker and water application decals and I’ve been using the stickers as they are so small. Even with detail painting over them, they are holding up and look great. If you want some “weekend zen” building and painting a great little kit (at a great price) this one is for you.

Take the time and it’s the best 6 inch Fett available
Love every inch of this kit. Building is, as noted by others, a few hour process, but if you’re like me that’s part of the fun. I have a decent pair of model sprue cutters, but a razor is best to clear little bits left over. This kit, more than other Bandai Star Wars kits I’ve done (except Grievous) really needs some paint love, but if you just take your time and watch a few vids for tips on how to get a good effect, it pays off big time. The little details in the armor, including the sculpted pock marks all leap to the fore. Articulation is surprisingly great for a model kit. Its range of movement isn’t as extensive as a Black Series figure, yet it can get into some iconic poses that the figure can’t due to the butterfly shoulder joints. There tends to be some gap at shoulder when posed like that, but it’s not overly noticeable. The decals are a little tough. I need to get into the water decals, but lacking that know-how I stuck with the normal stickers, and aside from a slightly detectable frame around them, all but a couple (like a couple gold circles that are meant to go on his jet-pack) were easy to apply. Bottom line, they’re manageable, and weathering can help hide them. Overall I had a blast with this kit. It took me 3 days, at about 4-5 hours per day to finish, though most of that was spent on paint. If you’re planning on taking paint even further than I did, for example making the jet pack the correct light blue color instead of its molded green, I wouldn’t attempt without an airbrush.
