Quality lens and good concept, ...but failed for practical purposes
Bought this with the intent on using it to photograph sporting events using my phone. Out of the box, everything appeared to be decent quality. The presentation and box that the device came in was great. It would make traveling with the device easy and secure. The issues came with the practicality and ease of use. First of all, I noticed that mounting it was somewhat of a headache. It "clips" over the phone's lens and counters it with a pad that rests on the touchscreen of your phone. I found that using this with my phone while having my phone's protective cover on caused some minor calibration issues. It kept giving me a "periscope" type of visual, like looking through a black tube or binoculars. I did not want my pictures to be like that. So I removed my protective case to see if it would resolve the issue. It helped but did not entirely resolve it on my phone. In practical terms, it would be annoying to remove my protective case each time to get the best photo anyways so I considered that a fail. Also, because most phones have several lenses (macro, normal, tele photo), jockeying the attachable lens over the correct phone lens to get it just right and reduce the periscope effect is a little annoying and time consuming when you are at a sporting event. Fail. Lastly, once the protective cover is off, the attachable lens placed precisely over the correct phone lens, and the proper zoom and focus is in place,....I noticed a MAJOR issue with having enough hand stability to maintain a decent shot. It amplifies your movements when at a distance that far that it make it almost unbearable to watch the footage. Cell phones don't have the same level of stabilizing ability as self contained cameras at this point so capturing practical viewable footage was a complete fail as well. Having said that, on a tripod on a stationary surface, it would probably do great, but after comparing it to my existing telephoto capabilities within the phone, it wasn't worth it overall...though it did bring things closer. Over all, a fail for me so it was returned.

Attachment mechanism really does not work
The attachment - a clap that attaches to the phone - does not really work. The phone surfaces are so smooth that the unit moves around so that it is very difficult to align with the camera lens. And it's so touchy that trying to adjust the focus of the lens is enough to throw it off, requiring that you again fiddle with re-aligning. Not really an issue with the product itself but this kind of thing - telephoto - requires a very steady hand, which is challenging with an actual camera and even more so with a smartphone. It might be ideal if you were using a tripod, but the quick point-and-shoot benefit of the smartphone does not really mix well with this device both for the need for steady aim and because of the effort required to align, focus, realign mechanically.

High quality lens set for Smart Phone
I've been an avid amateur photographer when I bought my first Nikon film based SLR N8008 in the late 80's. Thank goodness we now have digital cameras that can take much better pictures without waiting for the film to be developed. That being said, I'm always looking for good set of accessory lens that can expand my Smart Phone's photographing capability.I'm impressed with the picture quality, value and the build quality that this lens set provides. This set includes a wide assortment of lens that are easy to use. I like that covers are provided for both the front lens and the back threaded portion that threads into the two provided lens holders. All of the lens can be used without a tripod, except for the 20X macro and the 20X telephoto lens. Both the 20X macro as well as the 20X telephoto really requires the use of a quality tripods to take good pictures due to the high magnification provided. I've provided examples of the 20X macro photos using a cheap lightweight tripod as well as using high quality Sony tripod designed to hold heavy cameras. The 1st photograph is with a 0.62X wide angle lens. It has curvature distortion noticeable along the baseboard in the picture, which is typical in any wide angle lens. The 2nd picture is with 2X lens, which allows me to zoom somewhat into the picture. The 3rd picture is obviously with a fish-eye lens with typical vignetting effects from such a super wide angle lens. Despite the high curvature distortion, this type of picture is often useful to capture as much area in the front as is possible with such a lens. The 4th picture is using the 20X macro lens with a cheap tripod. Because the tripod is very lightweight and my smartphone is easily moved when I press it to take the picture. The 5th picture is using the 20X macro lens with the camera mounted on a quality Sony tripod. The 6th picture is with a 20X telephoto lens using the cheap tripod. Notice that the picture is somewhat blurred. Finally the last picture is with a 20X telephoto lens with the camera mounted on a quality Sony tripod. So when using a high magnification lens, it is very important to use high quality tripod. In a pinch, a lightweight tripod could be used but usually with the high possibility of blurred picture.I'm very pleased with this set of lens that takes great pictures using right tripod for the 20X lens set. I also like the nice case that comes with the set to hold all the lens in a high density foam material that securely holds the lens and protects them.

very inexpensive experimental fun
I've been seeing kits like this occasionally and finally decided to give this one a try because the listing seemed to indicate good quality and features for the cost. I went in feeling a bit skeptical because I am a photographer and used to paying many hundreds of dollars for just one lens for my Pentax, so i assumed there was no way I should expect much from an entire selection of lenses in this price range.I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of manufacturing and the optics, they perform quite well considering the price and I have have had a bit of fun with them when I don't feel like lugging around my backpack full of gear...the carry case fits in my shirt pocket and the appropriate lens can be attached to my Galaxy 9+ cellphone in just a minute or two. I recommend it, especially for kids who are interested in photography but only have a cell phone.
