Well, its a cable, right, just plug in each end an it works. I have been told by many IT acquaintances that I don't need cat7 for home use and lower priced cat 5 would be just as good. When I replaced my old cat5 cables with these, I ran a speed test and the upload speeds on the PC increase by 400 percent and download speeds approximately doubled. On the Mac, the efficiency was not as great, however upload and download speeds increased by approximately 50 percent. I don't know the theory, and I am sure not all users would experience this kind of performance increase.However, I am a happy camper and would recommend these cables.

This review is coming from PC Gamer who also owns a Nintendo Switch and PS4. I also know my way around getting the speeds that I pay for. For years I used a Cat 5e cable from my modem to my router. When I moved out of my mom’s I got Spectrum and read a lot of reviews talking about falsely advertised speeds. But when reading reviews the people writing were using 10-15 year old laptops and other hardware over WiFi.As hardware ages the WiFi signal output is gonna diminish over time that’s for all hardware over time. Same thing with older consoles. I completely dismissed these reviews and decided to find out how to combat these reviews. So,I bought three different sets of these cords and a gigabit Switch for connecting more devices with Ethernet from my router. I used these cables from my modem to my router and separate Switch. I got my Nintendo Switch Lite running through Ethernet USB C adapter. I also got my PS4,TV,Nvidia Shield TV Pro and my PC using these cable and one left over for when I buy my PS5 this year. On my PC I noticed how my speeds were decreasing at first but I figured that it was a Ethernet driver issues and I uninstalled the driver and went from 390mbps download and 10 upload to 500MBPS down and 25 up.I was extremely happy since I was getting better speeds than what I paid for. The speeds on the Switch Lite, and PS4 are lowered because Nintendo uses different architecture when connecting online and needs to update the Ethernet. The base PS4 speeds are bad regardless and hasn’t been really updated a lot by Sony. I have seen increased speed,less lag and faster streaming and a seamless online experience but I have not gotten speeds over 150mbps down and 10mbps up but that’s based on how to manufacturers optimize their hardware.In conclusion, these cables are long and thin so definitely worth it for the price. A definite must buy for tech savvy people that want better streaming on their devices or a better WiFi experience

Omg are you kidding me, these cables made such a huge difference, I wish I only knew about this sooner. I've found out about these cables from this guy on YouTube that was doing a video on tips how to make your internet work great. I said hey it's not that expensive I'll give it a try! OMG... I could not believe it! I am getting the speed I pay for and some times even higher. I also want to mention that my router is not even one of these new fancy models, it's a cheap old one. lol These cables are awesome ❤

Do not let someone lie to you that a CAT 5 cable will work the same was as a CAT 7. I needed upgrade cables for my home use. Previously I had CAT 5s. Upon getting these CAT 7 ones, I noticed a massive boost in speed. The fact that they are flat makes it even better and easier to conceal. Just go for them!

The Vandesail is a durable flat cable with an integrated strain relied and gold vaporized shell and contact. Gold plating or vaporization is always a sign of a quality made cable. The jacket is made of a rugged material that is difficult to nick. The flat cable shape is my favorite. It takes up less volume then a round ethernet cable, is easier to manage and route and nicest of all its easy to tuck away and hide is a crack or seam say between the carpet and wall board. The connector tabs have a hood over them that will help prevent snagging on other cables and breaking off the locking tang. the cable does come in a variety of colors which is very very helpful when trying to identify a particular cable in a bundle.As far as performance goes, I could not measure directly the performance of the cable directly but I could compare its performance to a 3' Cat 7 cable. To do this I replaced a the shorter Cat 7 cable that connected the WAN port of a Netgear R6700V3 router and a Cable Modem. The service provided by the Cable modem ISP Gigablast or 1 Gb/s. This WAN connection would be the choke point in my home network should the speed be degraded by the cable so its important I have the best performance there. I performed a speed test for both cables, the original 3' Cat 7 cable and the 10ft Vandesail cable. The result was both cables performed identically and very well allowing the max data rate that could be achieved by the Gigblast cable service.Highly recommended and a good value!

our computers are in the next room from our router, this increased our speed from around 80 to 900 megabytes per second. since we are gamers this is very important! I'm not sure why they're asking about Wi-Fi signal on an ethernet cable, since that is exactly what you use ethernet for, is to not use Wi-Fi.

I was having trouble with my new Wifi router from Xfinity, XFi , 300mbps plan (extreme) . I was using just the modem/router they gave me and I was wired with a Cat5 at first and only getting up to 60mbps & with the Cat6 , I was getting the same.So I looked around, and looked into this particular product & now that I’m wired and ran some test .. I’m hitting 40mbps to 240mbps , mind you , I was not hitting 200 at ALL with my other cable cords which isn’t old at all, only about a few months.I still think I need to replace my router because my other devices which isn’t wired is getting at max , 60mbps but this Cat7 is doing me justice for my PS4.

Bought this because of the spec, it is working perfectly to hardwire my amazon prime TV box! Obviously getting better and faster signal as it is wired! And it’s good quality! Would recommend
