Mosser Lee 0120 Long Fibered Sphagnum Moss, 2-Bushel

I am the author of "The Sphagnum Moss Bonsai Handbook, An Illustrated Handbook" and am very familiar with sphagnum moss. This stuff is old and in horrible condition. It has become very difficult to get large quantities of sphagnum moss lately, but this stuff is not worth the cost or the effort for sub par material.

Looking foe sheet moss, will use this in another application, ordered the sheet moss else where. Didn't feel that it was worth sending back.

Definitely not for Carniverous Plants. This Sphagnum has lots of grass and twigs in it which may work well for cactus as is described. CPs cannot have any nutrition in their soil. I discovered the hard way that the only sphagnum for CPs is the expensive stuff from New Zealand.

I ordered two of these bags of sphagnum moss. I used it to cover 14 hanging baskets plus 7 large pots and still have one full bag and 1/4 of the other bag left. A terrific buy.

It was just what I wanted.

I bought this to use for orchids and other plants. Couldn't use it at all. It's basically hay. Total waste of money.
